Kings honor advance to Broome Basketball Association Wet Season finals

The Kings remain undefeated in the first round final of the Broome Basketball Association Wet Season League, advancing to the final.

Men's A Grade

The Kings defeated the Gant Hume Pointers 63-37 in the Boys A Preliminary Final. Kings' Jarman Cox scored 21 points while the Pointers' top scorer Taj Pirrottina was held to 11 points.

The Kings continued their dominance in the second half as they never surrendered another goal to secure their spot in the Dec. 6 final. The Pointers will face Odash in the preliminaries final on Nov. 29, with the winner advancing to face the Kings in the final.

In the elimination final, Odash defeated the Bad Boys 50-29, crushing their hopes of advancing to the finals. Jasper John was the Odash scoring leader with 14 points and Chris Hunter was the Bad Boys scoring leader with 9 points.

The Bad Boys are now out of the tournament and Odash will face the Gansome Pointers in the prelim finals.

Men's Social Division

In the Boys Social Division prelim finals, the Misfits advanced to the finals by defeating the Spoonbills by a score of 33-22. Brennan Stack led the Spoonbills with 23 points in the game and Robbie Haymes-Holder had 7 points.

The Scoops will now face the Hornets in the preseason final, with the winner taking on the Misfits in the Dec. 6 final.

The Hornets defeated the Gators 65-59 to advance to the preseason finals by just six points. Kurt Bello scored 25 points and Shaun Nelson 20. The Hornets' Brett Nairn and Daniel Aspey combined for 38 points but came up short.

Girls Division.

The Raiders defeated the Dribblers 51-32 in the girls' semifinals. Simone Narkle scored 20 points again and Jessica Richardson had 18.

The Slammers narrowly defeated the Sharks by a score of 23-17. Brianna Mowatt was the Hammer scoring leader with 9 points while Claire Lynch was the Sharks scoring leader with 7 points.

The finals for both the men's and women's teams will be held on December 6, with the 'Kings' and 'Hippies' looking to go undefeated to claim the championship title. Stay tuned for updates on the preliminaries and finals.
